Charitable Giving / Donations Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in Mobile Gas. We receive a great number of donation requests. Although we would love to support all charitable organizations and events, unfortunately we cannot possibly grant every request we receive. Mobile Gas’ focus areas of charitable giving are: Education, Environment, Leadership Development, Economic Development, Health & Human Services and other humanitarian/charitable areas.
We will consider donations to religious organizations having community-wide goals; e.g. a church-run public soup kitchen, food pantry, homeless shelter or other initiative where the mission is clearly to help the general community.
Mobile Gas does NOT consider requests for political, controversial or for-profit organizations, sporting teams and/or events (which includes runs/walks, youth or high school sports), individuals, third parties, travel or student trips and festivals.
In order to receive consideration, an organization or event must be:
- Have valid non-profit tax exempt Sec. 501(c)(3) or Sec. 501(c)(4) status from the IRS. It will be validated through the IRS database. Additionally, please make sure the address submitted with your application matches the address on file with the IRS.
- Organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, environmental, educational and other humanitarian purposes.
- Located within the Greater Mobile area including Saraland, Satsuma, Chickasaw, Bayou La Batre, Creola, Mt. Vernon, Prichard and Spanish Fort in Baldwin County.
Requests funded in one year does not guarantee future funding, as all requests are reviewed annually to best fit our philanthropic goals and budget.
The request must be received at least four weeks before the event date in order to be considered.
Requests are accepted year-round and reviewed once a month by the Mobile Gas Contributions Committee. If you have questions about the submission process, contact Kesshia Davis, Director of Community Relations: 251-450-4703 or email@example.com.
