Stand By Generators

Living along the gulf coast means enjoying the benefits of warm tempertures and almost endless opportunites to be near the water. It also means being prepared for severe weather. Weather that can change rapidly.

We've all experienced the routine power outages along the coast. An outage can mean the loss of basic home conveniences or unwanted down time for a business.

Natural gas stand by generators give you back up power when you need it. They operate quietly with a continuous fuel supply, and they actively manage power consumption during power outages.

Mobile Gas carries a full line of quality back up generators, and we offer installation and service. It's a "turn key" operation. For more information, call 450-4809.

Service your stand by generator before a storm strikes

Every summer those of us living along the coast take steps to prepare for hurricane season. Having a plan for dealing with the aftermath of a storm is essential.

Maintaining your natural gas stand by generator should be a part of your plan. Knowing you’ll have back up power after a storm gives you real peace of mind. But, like all major equipment, it’s very important to have your generator serviced. Standby generators require routine maintenance to perform reliably.

Make it a priority to have your stand by generator serviced before a storm strikes. That’s especially important if you’ve had any work done since the unit was installed, especially work on your natural gas piping system or your home’s electrical system.

Keep in mind that most permanently installed generators exercise or turn on for a short test run each week. That test run is an important indicator of a properly functioning unit. If your generator is not cycling through the test run, call your installer to have it serviced.
