Mobile Gas Goes PINK!Posted October 28, 2016
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States, other than skin cancer. To recognize those currently facing this disease or in honor of those who have lost their lives to this terrible disease, Mobile Gas employees wore pink on Friday, October 28th. One couldn’t help but notice the abundance of pink #TEAMDONNA t-shirts running rampant up and down the hallways.
That’s right, our own Donna Jones, gas controller, is 2 years cancer free! “I was moved to tears with the overwhelming support I received from my work family. I received phone calls, cards, flowers, stuffed animals, even an envelope of cash during my battle with breast cancer. These random acts of kindness from my fellow employees really helped keep my spirits up”, said Jones.
In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mobile Gas employees will also participate in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in downtown Mobile. The walk begins at 8am on Saturday, October 29th in Bienville Square (150 Dauphin Street). As a company, we will continue to do our part in the fight against breast cancer!
